Sunn Construction Services employs a team of industry experts with over 50 years of combined experience in the general contractor, commerical construction and project management arenas. Sunn combines industry best-practices with an experienced staff, and can see your project through, from start to finish.
Eric McKinney,
Partner/Marketing | Eric has been in the construction and contracting business for 20 years. He has worked for and built relationships with many of the top commercial property managers and brokers, as well as management companies of HOA and Multi-family communities in the Indianapolis area. He successfully completed his first commercial project in 1999 with the re- imaging of the Speedway Plaza strip center for the managing "Olympia Partners". He has since been involved with numerous commercial re-imaging and build-out projects, as well as numerous residential re-habs for "Homecomings Mortgage" and "IndyMac" prior to co-founding Sunn Construction Services. Eric graduated from Indiana University with a BA in Economics, while minoring in Fine Arts and Design. He holds his broker's license in real estate, and also is member of the National Association of Realtors ®. His hands-on experience, management skills and his artistic eye for design and details are valuable assets that ensure every project meets Sunn’s high degree of quality standards. |
John Vyverberg,
Partner/Project Manager | John is an engineer with 12 years of experience in construction, construction management, engineering and design. John began his career with Turner Construction Company in Florida and Illinois. He then went to work with ExxonMobil where he was the Construction Lead for multi-million dollar projects. One of his projects involved the building and assembly of a $330 million dollar oil drilling rig to be stationed in the Bering Sea. John was responsible for coordinating all building tasks, scheduling and cost/quality control on the rig, while simultaneously assessing damage and repairing an $800 million dollar FPSO (Floating Production Storage & Offloading Vessel) for ExxonMobil. In 2004 John returned to Indianapolis and joined Kort Builders Inc, as Project Manager. He was directly responsible for projects ranging from "tenant finishes" to "design builds" prior to co- founding Sunn Construction Services. John graduated from Purdue University with a BS in Construction Engineering and Management. Using his skills in design, scheduling, contract preparation and administrative execution John oversees each project through from start to finish. As the Operations Manager for Sunn Construction, John “hands-on approach” is the foundation to the success of each project we do. |
Eric Vyverberg,
Partner | Eric is a graduate of Indiana University with a Bachelor's from the Kelley School of Business. Eric has over ten years of general construction, and five years of public audit services experience. Subsequent to graduation, he has spent time in the public accounting, insurance and energy arenas prior to co-founding Sunn Construction Services As well as participation in Sunn’s construction operations, Eric is responsible for the Sunn’s general back office functions. Eric is currently pursuing his Master’s in Business Administration Degree from Indiana University. He brings a level of commitment, knowledge and experience that insures the financial stability of the Sunn Construction for years to come. |
Sarah Hall,
Assistant
Project Manager | Sarah graduated with a BS in Construction Engineering and Management from Purdue University in 2006. Her career began as an intern with Winter Construction in Atlanta, Georgia where she gained experience in the institutional markets. As Project Engineer with Hardin Construction based in Atlanta, Sarah’s responsibilities included a multimillion dollar “village” that housed both retail and residential spaces. Sarah joined Sunn Construction in July of 2007 as an Assistant Project Manager. Her fresh approach and knowledge of the total construction process compliments the Sunn team as she is responsible for “day to day” operations of several project. Sarah’s contributions are a valuable addition to the continued success of Sunn Construction. |
Christy Russell,
Office/Marketing Manager | Christy began her career in the corporate insurance industry working with company brokers managing existing accounts and opening new accounts. She then worked her way into banking marketing where she managed accounts, maintained and built new relationships with multi-million dollar companies throughout the United States and Canada. Christy moved from Louisville, KY to the Indianapolis area and joined the Sunn Construction team in May 2008 as the Office/Marketing Manager. Along with managing the front office she also regularly participates in operations. Her ability to work with both small and large accounts is a direct factor to Sunn Construction’s continual growth in service and quality. |
